  • 101 Dalmations (1996)

Added on 15th of March 2010 under the Family Movies category.

The live-action version of one Disney’s most popular animated films. When dalmatians Pongo and Perdy meet in a park, it’s love at first sight for them AND their owners, Roger and Anita.

The humans marry, and soon the spotted pooches become parents to 15 puppies. Unfortunately, Anita’s boss is the aptly-named fashion designer Cruella De Vil, an incredibly grandiose, maniacal diva. Cruella wants to make a coat of (gulp!) dalmatian fur, and although she already has 84 of the canines in captivity, she wants Anita’s.

When Anita refuses to sell her pups, Cruella sends her two ever-bumbling henchmen on a dog-napping mission. Can Pongo and Perdy save all 101 dalmatians — and send Cruella and her minions to the doghouse in the process?

But how can a beggar marry the sultan’s daughter? His only hope lies in a magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders and a wisecracking genie who can grant wishes. But Jafar, the Sultan’s evil advisor, desires that lamp himself, so he can rule the kingdom and possess Jasmine.

    Alice in Wonderland (2010)

However, many years afterward, Charles has passed away, and Alice misses his playful attitude.

Now feeling trapped in a world of proper etiquette for one such as herself, Alice is taken to a garden party, where it is hoped that she will accept a marriage proposal from Hamish (Leo Bill), the son of one of her father's business partners. However, Alice soon grows distracted seeing a rabbit with a waistcoat nearby, and rushes after the strange creature.

    Anastasia (1997)

Added on 15th of March 2010 under the Family Movies category.

Based on the legend of the real-life daugher of the last Russian czar, ANASTASIA combines imaginative animation and lively songs to tell the story of a princess who escapes a horrible execution and mysteriously reappears after being thought dead. When a team of swindlers, Dimitri (John Cusack) and Vladimir (Kelsey Grammer), recruit Anya (Meg Ryan), a spunky amnesiac orphan, in their plot to defraud the Dowager Empress (Angela Lansbury) with a faux Romanov heir, little do they know their carefully coached fake is the real thing.

But the resurgence of the long-lost Anastasia also attracts the attention of the scary Rasputin (Christopher Lloyd), who, with his hilarious sidekick, Bartok the bat (Hank Azaria), schemes to do in the last Romanov. Though much lighter (thankfully for children) than the 1956 Anatole Litvak-directed ANASTASIA adapted from Marcelle Maurette’s play, this movie is still packed with thrills, chills, and romance.

The first animated feature from 20th Century Fox, the film is directed by longtime collaborators Don Bluth and Gary Goldman.

When she keeps choosing Hannah over her commitments to family members—to say goodbye to Jackson (Jason Earles) as he leaves for college, to attend Lilly's (Emily Osment) long-anticipated sweet-16 party or her grandmother's birthday celebration—it is clear Miley's beginning to forget why the Hannah Montana secret was created in the first place.

Having attempted to reason with her to no avail, Robby Ray tricks Miley into thinking she's going to New York as Hannah to perform when he's really taking her from Los Angeles back home to Crowley Corners, Tennessee. Miley's double life becomes even more complicated when she returns to Crowley Corners.

She discovers that a reporter has somehow managed to track Hannah Montana to her hometown and is asking lots of questions of the locals. She also meets up with an old childhood friend, Travis Brody (Lucas Till), and soon finds herself in her first serious romance. When Miley tries to impress Travis by telling him about her friend Hannah Montana, she suddenly finds her alter ego enlisted in a concert fundraiser to help save her hometown's pristine Crowley Meadows from developers. Once again, having taken on more than she can handle, Miley has to call on her best friend, Lilly, and ask her for help. When Lilly finally arrives in Crowley Corners pretending to be Hannah Montana, events really spin out of control.
